When I decided to blog, my goal was to write one original blog post each week that revolved around the three passions of my business, public speaking, storytelling, and presence.

So far, I’m on track to accomplish that goal.

My plan in 2019 is to tie them all up in a tidy little book, where I’ll share the story behind the stories that struck a chord with readers and share my favorites.

Recycling at it’s finest.

If you’d asked me a year ago if I’d thought I’d be a blogger in addition to the work I was already attempting to do, I’d have said no.

I would’ve told you I didn’t want to because…

I don’t have anything important to say.”

No one cares.

It’s all been said before.”

(Sound familiar?)

I hear comments like these from my clients when they’re trying to create their presentations, develop their personal stories or craft a talk.

They’re lies, I tell you, lies.

You do have something to say, and the hardest part is getting started.

Start anyway.

I sat down today to write and had zero stories come to mind.

I attempted three different posts and almost, almost gave up.

I thought

I’ll just put up an old one that didn’t get much love before.”

But I didn’t.

Instead, I chose to write what I know,  just like I’d tell you to talk about what you know.

The world needs you to do the same thing.

If you want to speak, write, vlog, blog, etc. start with what you know.

We need to hear messages over and over, from different voices, with different words before we “get them.”

Don’t let the voices in your head stop you before you start

If you have a favorite blog post of mine, mention it in the comments below! I’d love to tell ya more about it!
